How do I book the hall?
Send an enquiry to us using the form. We will then reply confirming if it is available with the total price. If you are then happy to proceed we will make a provisional booking for you. The deposit will secure the booking and full payment should be sent within 30 days of hire. Nearer the time of your event we will send you details of how to access the hall and will arrange for a trustee to come and check the hall and lock up before you leave. The deposit will be return by the Tuesday after the hire date.

How much is the hall to hire and how do I pay?
The hall is chargeable per hour or part thereof
All money should be paid via BAC's transfer to our account. The deposit should be paid within seven days and the hire charge within 30 days date of hire.

Can we hire the hall for a teenage party?
We accept bookings for children's parties up to and including 12 and adult celebrations for those aged 21 and over. We do not accept bookings for 13-20 year olds parties Use our online form to get in touch if you would like to make a booking.
How big is the hall?
The hall can take a maximum of 70 people and measure approximately 12.5m x 6m (41ft x 19ft). Click here for some photos
Do you have disabled access?
Yes - there is ramp access to the hall and we also have a disabled WC
When is the hall available to book?
We take bookings from 8am-10pm Sunday-Friday and 8am-11pm on Saturdays. Check our calendar for current availability
Do you have a kitchen?
Yes - it has a fridge, oven, microwave, urn and kettle. Please bring your own cutlery and crockery
Do you have a bar?
No - but alcohol is allowed (a licence is required if you plan to sell it)
Do you have a baby change facility?
Yes - there is a changing table in the disabled toilet. We do ask that you take soiled nappies home with you.
Can I hold a BBQ in the grounds?
No - this is not permitted at any time
Do you have parking?
There is space at the front of the hall for around four cars. On-Street parking is available. See our photo page to view the parking area.
Do you have a clean up service?
No - the hall should be left clean and tidy with all rubbish removed and taken away with you
Can I have a bouncy castle?
The ceiling is only 8ft high so only a small bouncy castle is allowed
Is there an outdoor space for children?
We do have a grass area although it is on a slope so it is not recommend to play outside. Click here for some photos of the area
Are there tables and chairs?
We have 60 chairs and 10 large tables
Can I decorate the Hall?
Yes - but please do not use sellotape to fix anything up.
Who owns the hall?
The hall was gifted to the village and is currently run by a group of Trustees Charity Number 302688
Can I help run the hall?
YES - we are always looking for volunteers to help run the hall. Please visit our Trustees page for more information
There is a problem with the hall
We aim to keep the hall well maintained but know that things do go wrong. Please report any minor faults here and we will do our best to get any issues resolved as soon as possible.
What is your response time?
The hall is run by volunteers and we aim to reply as soon as possible. Usually with 24 hours and often out of business hours.
Can I view the hall before booking?
As the hall is run by volunteers we do not have the time to facilate viewings. You can see lots of picutures and a video tour of the hall here though.
Can I speak to someone on the telephone?
The hall is run by busy volunteers and we can't always get to the phone. Email is always best as it is also a written form of communication that you can refer back to. If you would like to speak to one of the team please request this in the booking enquiry and we will aim to call you back.
